Phone photo or Sunset Artwork Painting? One of these sunsets is clearly nicer to look at

It's 7:12 pm. You're on the couch, thinking of your last beach trip. Your phone is in your hand.
You have two options: your too-dark sunset photo from OBS 2023, or this sunset artwork painting above the couch.
You can open your camera roll and find that mediocre sunset photo from OBX in 2023. The sky was so many colors of orange, pink and purple. You stopped walking on the sand to try to catch it.
But sunsets are notoriously hard to photograph. They usually come out dark and underexposed - because phone cameras can't see what your eyes saw. You've looked at it probably fifteen times since you got home and every time you think it wasn't like that. It was better than that.
Or you can look up.
One of these sunsets is nicer to look at. It's not the phone.
I create sunsets for the wall above your couch. For 7:12 pm on a Tuesday in February when you can't be at the beach. For the week you were somewhere you loved and your phone failed to capture it.
Maybe it doesn’t quite match your decor…around here, we don’t worry about that. If it brings you back to your evening walk in OBX in 2023 watching that pastel sunset, then keep it exactly where it is.
