A small confession
I'm not an interior designer. I'm not a decorator. I'm not interested in it and not particularly good at it.
I'm someone who loves the beach. Who loves color. Who loves shapes and colors that excite my brain every time I see them, at one year, five years, ten.
If you buy art that coordinates with your paint scheme and furniture, I'm not for you. If you're someone who wants to walk into your own room and relax because what you see on the wall is a place that makes you happy, then you’re my people!
How I got here
I spent a lot of summers on the Gulf Coast, and took trips to beaches from Maine to Southern California. I learned what I loved most about being there: how it strips away the weight of everyday life. No routines. No noise. Just the sound of waves and the blue of the ocean.
Years ago I ran an abstract art business that didn't work. I had a panic attack the day I realized it was failing. I sat with it for a while, scared, and asked myself what I actually wanted to make...and who it was actually for.
The answer was the beach. The answer was the calm I felt there, and the people who felt it too.
Stride Coastal came out of that.
How the pieces ar made
I create my pieces digitally - drawing, color, composition, every decision is mine - and then they're printed on heavy-weight canvas in the US. The canvas is gallery-wrapped on real wood, fade-resistant, ready to hang. Made on demand, which means less waste and a better piece when it arrives.
