The Color of Calm: How Blue Scenes Reduce Stress and Promote Peace

November 26, 2025

The color world that quietly turns the volume down on stress is blue, as scientific studies show blue scenes reduce both stress and psychological distress (Nutsford et al., 2016; Nutsford et al., 2013).

Auditory: The hue evokes the soft, rhythmic hush of waves, muting the mind's daily noise.
Emotional: It delivers immediate, restorative calm, acting as your 'rest and relax' switch.
Sensory: The misty light and fading horizon capture the feeling of cool, peaceful sea air.

If you've ever said, "My favorite color is 'OCEAN'," you need to see the calming, signature blue of SALTWATER SURF (starting at $62).
