Dog Mohawk and Weekend Paddles

You might know me for my beach-inspired art and homewares, but here are a couple of fun things you might not know about me.

First up: Have you seen a pink dog mohawk? My dog has one. She has rocked a mohawk on her back for over a year courtesy of my teenage son.  For a dog, pink hair is certainly not common, but it’s fun. We get lots of wonderful friendly comments on walks…especially from kids.

Next - I love nature. I love to walk. I love to paddle.  I’m happiest outdoors — I don’t get to hike nearly as often as I’d like. But I have had some cook hikes.  I’ve hiked up Cadillac Mountain in Acadia State Park, Maine, Emory Peak in Big Bend, Texas and up to Williams Lake, Taos.

I have two foldable kayaks and try to sneak in a paddle on calm water whenever I can. Maybe that’s why I’m so drawn to creating art that captures the feel of nature, water, and ocean breezes.

Thanks for letting me share a tiny piece of my life. Now your turn: what’s something unexpected about you? I’d genuinely love to know. 💙 Add to the comments.
